Have you ever felt unprotected?  Maybe in the rain or snow?  What about walking at night?  God gives us ‘armor’ to put on and this week we talked about how kids can use it to stand against things we face.  This week spend each day talking about each piece and doing the Godtime cards with your kids!

This Week We’re Discovering

In Ephesians 6:10-18, we read a portion of a letter Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus. The early church is feeling attacked from all sides, and Paul encourages them by reminding them how the Holy Spirit can help them. We have armor that stand against anything that we might face in this world.

Bottom Line: God gives you what you need to keep going. We pray that through this lesson, kids will realize all they have available to them right now to help them show determination when they feel like giving up.

This Month’s Memory Verse

When Paul wrote this verse to the church at Galatia, he encouraged the followers of Jesus to show determination and keep doing good. We may not see results right away, but in time, God will help us see that finishing what we started was worth all of the effort.

Extra Memory Verses:

Week 1: Hebrews 12:1b-2a  And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

Week 2: Psalm 18:32  It is God who arms me with strength  and keeps my way secure.

Week 3:Psalm 31:24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Week 4: Philippians 1:6b being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

God Time Card:

Godtime Cards are now together with the Family Talk and are given in a packet.  You receive the entire month all at once. This is similar to BTW for adults, but for your kids!

Do you know what songs your kids are singing this month? Click  MUSIC for a direct link to the Ada Bible Church playlist. You will also be able to purchase the songs your child will be singing this month.

You probably know when you last went for a walk or visited the gym. But when was the last time you gave your stick-to-it muscles a workout? This month’s widget, THE DETERMINATOR, provides your kids with a great opportunity to practice determination—deciding it’s worth it to finish what they start. Each peg game requires skill and practice to complete successfully. Once your whole family has mastered the puzzle, decide on a fun prize, like going out for ice cream or seeing a new movie!
