Bible Story: We start the month in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a. The Apostle Paul wrote a letter to a church in the city of Corinth who was struggling with putting love into action. We’ll discover different aspects of what it looks like to love others.
Bottom Line: Love others because God loves you. God gave us the ultimate example of love when God sent Jesus to live a perfect life and die on the cross to make it possible for us to have a forever-relationship with God. Kids will discover how God’s love for us can motivate us to show love to others.
Key Question: How can you love others like God does? That’s a big question! As kids start to engage more with pop culture, they’ll start to hear many voices talk about what it means to love. But we want them to take their cue from how God loves us. We hope kids will discover how they can show God’s love to the people in their lives.
Extra Memory Verse: “We love because he loved us first.” 1 John 4:19, NIrV
