Bible Story: 1 Samuel 16. God used Samuel to anoint David as the next king of Israel. In fact He helped Samuel discover that the true worth is not what we see on the outside but who we are on the inside.

Bottom Line: God wants me to see what really matters. God wants us to see others how He sees them and treat everyone like they matter.

Key Question: Why is it important to look on the inside? We live in a world where everyone is compared to one another, but that’s not the way we should look at others—or ourselves!

Extra Memory Verse:“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13 NIV
