On November 11-12, preschoolers will learn about the Lord’s Prayer and how to pray.
The Lord’s Prayer Matthew 6:9-13
We will continue our November lessons of learning how to have a thankful heart. This weekend (Nov. 11-12) the preschoolers will be taught how to pray. The Lord’s Prayer will be introduced, and a simplified version will be taught to them. Jesus taught us how to pray and practice praying the way He modeled. Preschoolers will learn that they can pray anytime, anywhere, and about anything. Below is the prayer that you can practice with your child at home.
“Dear God, (children repeat)
“I love you. (children repeat)
“You are amazing! (children repeat)
“Please give me what I need. (children repeat)
“I’m sorry when I make wrong choices. (children repeat)
“Help me do what is right. (children repeat)
“In Jesus’ name, amen!
This Month’s Memory Verse
“I will (thumbs to chest) give thanks (sign language-touch right hand to chin and then gesture out) to the Lord (both hands point up) with my whole heart (both hands over heart and make beating motion). Psalm 111:1 (open hands like a book)
