Oct. 14-15, Preschoolers learn how God helps us with hard things with the Bible story of David and Jonathan.
David and Jonathan 1 Samuel 18:1-4; 20:3-42
David and Jonathan shared so many experiences and were close friends. It was VERY hard when they had to say good-bye to one another. Be sure to help your preschooler this week by reciting the bottom line: God can help me do hard things.
Parents, preschoolers are just starting to develop friendships and want to know they are okay. While many things are new at this age, it’s super important to take the time to help them understand when things get confusing, and assure them of your constant care. “God can help me do hard things” is a great bottom line and word tool to use as you walk through this week.
This Month’s Memory Verse
“We have (both thumbs turned into chest) the Lord our God (make L with right hand and touch from shoulder to hip) to help us (wrap both arms around self in hug). 2 Chronicles 32:8 (open hand like a book)
