This week in preschool, your child will meet one of the strongest women in the Bible, Esther!

The Story

The Story focus this weekend is “When God is with me, I can be strong.”  We’re not talking about the normal super power strong, we’re talking about the strength that only God can supply.  Esther used this strength to save her people.  Be sure to have your preschooler retell the Bible story to you and find a time throughout the week to share examples of how your family has stayed strong because you trusted and relied on God.  And as always, take time to pray together every day.

This Month’s Memory Verse

Be strong (right hand in fist held up in front of self) and courageous (Left hand in fist held up crossed over right).  Do not (both hands press out like STOP) be afraid (hands up by face and pretend to be scared).  For the LORD (point up with right arm) your God (point up with left arm) goes with you (both hand on hips with strong super pose).  Deuteronomy 31:6 (hold hands open like a book)

A gadget is a specific tool which coincides with the Bible lessons, bottom lines, or memory verse each month.  These gadgets are given to aide in the preschooler’s retention of the Bible lessons from church to home.  The gadget for September is a super-kid dog tag.  All month we will hear Bible stories about people who did super brave, courageous and wise things.  Parents, be sure to look for opportunities throughout the month to help your child be super at knowing God is always with them!
