Preschool Parent Connect | May 21, 2017

As we near the end of this season in DV Preschool and summer is approaching, I would encourage each of you to consider volunteering in your child’s classroom for a few weeks.  This is a great way to find out how your child worships and meet some of their weekend friends.  Our coordinators have a great opportunity for you. Come join the summer team! 🙂

The Story

Gideon at Battle Judges 7:9-22

This week in Preschool, God tells Gideon what to do to win the battle.   Gideon and his soldiers were WAAAY outnumbered. It was 300 against a gazillion. That’s what it felt like at least. The Bible says the  enemy soldiers were “thick as locusts.” So how did 300 defeat a gazillion? The Israelites believed God and did what he said.  vs. 19b  They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands.  vs 20b Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!”  All the Midianites ran, crying out as they fled.  That’s obeying God. God’s Got It!
